Alvin Alvarez

Alvin is just an awesome human being. He's constantly trying to make this class better for college folks, and really cares about your input! All of the assigned projects and presentation make sense and are very helpful! He expects a lot out of you, but that's good, this is your specialization. This class prepares you for the administrative world of college counseling!

Alvin is the best teacher I've had in this program. He is charasmatic, an amazing lecturer, he makes you excited to come to class! And on top of that you learn. He challenges you. All of his assignments make sense, he expects a lot, but his not a hardass. Having Alvin as a teacher makes you want to teach too! His only downfall is that he wears a lot of hats and can be hard to get a hold of outside of class, so don't expect him to hold your hand! But in class he is very present and if you come early, he'll answer any of your questions.
