Jim Ang

This class is supposed to teach students the basic concepts of film production, but this instructor can barely operate a disposable camera. After finishing this class, I hardly knew more than I could have learned just by reading a good book on film production. Jim Ang is typical of the graduate assistants at SFSU. He really has no interest in helping students learn, but is just there to put in his time until he graduates.

Jim Ang is one of the most pathetic halfwits I have ever had the misfortune of meeting. His social and emotional development lies somewhere between that of a semi-retarded goldfish and a parking meter. I don't know what dope in the cinema department declared that he is fit for the teaching profession, but they need to be educated on the emotional and intellectual requirements of the position. His grading is eradict and seemingly without any basis in reality. His feedback consists of obnoxious rants based in his distorted self-image. Jim Ang's appointment as an instructor merely signals just how low the educational system in California has sunk. I strongly suggest to students who actually have an interest in learning about film production to look elsewhere. Good luck.
