Dr. Araki was, in my opinion, a good teacher. He did have a monotonous lecturing style, but he seemed interested in the subjects he taught. His teaching style is very laid back and he generates an atmosphere which is very comfortable. Sometimes so comfortable that it was hard to focus. Overall, his classes were worthwhile and helpful. He also is a very kind person. He doesn't make you feel stupid for asking questions or giving your opinion on a topic.

I had George Araki as one of two teachers who taught the Nexa class "Split Brain: Mythos and Logos." The concept of the class was interesting, but George's part of the lecture was boring. He seems like a very nice and knowledgeable man, but perhaps the broad topic of the class made it hard for him to focus. I know it was hard for me to focus. Perhaps his style is better suited to the hard sciences.
