I agree with the reviewer that said "eh, he's ok". This class consisted of doing homework (some of which were very long and very difficult), going over the hw in class and taking a quiz here and there. . . No big tests just little quizzes that he would give what seemed like random letter grades... The quizzes were alright, the questions were the same thing that was on the homework. So do the hw and if you don't get it he'll most likely go over it in class and then you can copy it down on to you're paper. He doesn't take attendance but the days that he collects the hw is when he takes note of who is there and not and that can have an affect on you're grade. I would say he was kind of mean but that's just my opinion... He put some people down which I thought was kind of rude! He gave a take-home final, which was easy... The hardest part of that class was Natural Deduction, I did not understand any part of it and didn't care at all for it because it seemed useless... but anyways overall, he's alright cause I got an A in the class so I shouldn't be one to complain.

Eh, he's ok. I guess you have to consider it is a Philosophy class. And if you're not a Philosophy major and are taking it as an elective, this could be painful listening to this professor and his Philosophy students drudge on and on, and on and on about Ethics.
It started out interesting, but he didn't really both to see if all the students were on the same page by the middle of the course. So it got progressively more difficult.
He's not really clear about what his expectations are of students with regards to writing assignments. The tests are easy. I made As on those. The writing assignments could go either way - it just depends on what he's looking for, and you usually have to guess.
