Peggy Benz is an exceptional teacher who makes herself AVAILABLE outside of class to her students. Projects are individualized and she helps each person in the class. Peggy understands that her students are from various backgrounds (ie. teachers without skills to graphic designers) and tries to accomodate the diverse needs and abilities represented in her class. This class is excellent for beginners and less challenging for the real "techie" types.

The class it self is dry. What can you do that's interesting when you're lecturing with a computer in a dark room? HOwever, I believe that Peggy is very helpful to all the students, where the students forms the class and thier own projects. Peggy also encourages visionary work and you yourself must structure it in a way that works best for you. Peggy covers a good deal on photoshop, hyperstudio, and the basics of putting an instructional multimedia program.

True, there is little structure in Peggy Benz's classes, especially in ITEC 715. But in ITEC 740, the Photoshop class, things were much better, I guess because the projects were much less stressful. I learned a lot of Photoshop in this class, but I think I learned more from the T.A. than from Peggy. But she's a very nice woman, so it's hard to say anything bad about her.
She's an easy grader, so don't worry too much about your assignments here. I've seen people turn in crap and get A's.
