He is, without a doubt, the worst professor I've ever had. He is arrogant, rude, and makes no accommodations for the students whatsoever. The courses that he teaches are meant to be sort of 'life enrichment' courses, but he gives loads of busy work, tons of reading and refuses to narrow the focus of his pre mid-term and final tests, making it so that you need to memorize a level of minutiae that makes any real learning an impossibility. I guess I wouldn't mind so much if he didn't get his details all wrong. For example, I believe that Gary Snyder wrote 'Turtle Island,' not LARRY Synder. Do yourself a favor and avoid him at all costs.
