Esther Chan

I am not very emotional person, but i was impressed by her ability to courage me and change my point of view on writing process. Her classes are not a torture or burden at all, they are so fascinating that 90 minuts last as 9. Be prepared to write a lot and express you own point of view (if you have a unique and intersting one, Esther will like you).She does not give A for nothing you have to deserve it. She is the little person with great personality and sense of humor.Take her and will never regreat.

Ether is a good and nice teacher. I had her englsih 201 and 202 classes. She won't confuse you by let you know everything at the beginning of the classes. Every time she walks in classes that always with a purpose. She is willing to help students with their problems. Yet she always assign homework such as journals, essays and vocabulries, but don't let the works fool you.

Esther is a very nice person. She likes to help student out. She will let you know what she is looking for at the very beginning. You won't feel confused! Compared with some of the toughest ESL teachers in SFSU, Esther is not that difficult to pass. She is willing to review your essay or any assignment with you. Many times is fine. Any time is fine. When you get in her class, you will know what I mean.

In my opinion, she's an excellent instructor. She taught us to make a good essay, giving us time to debate/discuss 'bout rellevant topics deep enough:-) even though sometimes seemed like there's no point the discussion... She told us what "wrong" w/t our essay & how we fixed it, & what's the best part of our essay & how to improve it. The way, she explained her points're very helpful. She seemed has a quite high standard, so u guys who like challenge, to make a pretty good essay, or if u think u're good in writing, could take this course
