I took this class for Summer school and I was a bit worried that it might be too boring and challenging. The class was by no means boring and she kept it exciting with intriguing videos and informative slides along with a booklet filled with very interesting articles. I got an A in the class but it's not a class where you can expect to devout next to no time reading or showing up for class. However, being that everything is so engaging you'll most likely want to participate!!! I wouldn't recommend any other teacher for this class!!!!!

Ivy makes the class interesting. Not that many teachers will go into detail about relationships, especially in a human sexuality class. But Ivy gets into the details from beginning a relationship to the breakups. It's a class that is worth going to at 8 in the morning. Tests are pretty easy as long as you take notes, and the papers are not that hard at all. Note taking would be a little bit easier if the powerpoints were available for download or purchase at the bookstore. This is a class you'll definitely want to take if your other classes call for a lot of attention. It's more easy going and less stressful than your other classes. The class is worth taking for your Segment III section.

Ivy is one of the best teacher for this course. her exams are straight from her lectures and she tells you what is going to be on the exam. she requires you to buy two books for her class but if you dont want to buy the text book, you can still pass the class, like i said her exams on based on her lectures, and maybe like at most 5 questions are from readings.

Ivy makes the class fun & interesting at 8:10am. She by far has the best sense of humor of anyone I know! She pretty much tells you what will be on the test. As long as you go to class (attendance sheet is passed around each class meeting) you will do well.
However, what I did not like was the TA's grading the papers. What is not stressed enough ahead of time is their criteria for grading. Points will be taken off if they think you spaced incorrectly, used the wrong word (according to them), etc. Their grading criteria is stricter than an English class which is ridiculous for a Seg 3 class.
Overall, I enjoyed the class and I actually learned alot. She is a good teacher, but something needs to be done with the criteria for grading the 2 papers that are due.
