I really liked this instructer. He is intelligent, knows and enjoys his subject. His accent is a little difficult to understand, I would recommend reading the chapter before class - then the lecture is easier to understand. It probably would help if the instructer slowed down his lecture just a tiny bit. I did find that most of the students in the class were fairly unmotivated to stay current on the homework. It probably wouldn't hurt if the teacher collected homework just to keep the students motivated. This topic requires a lot of time to do the homework. I had a hard time staying current just because I was lazy. If you do the reading and practice the questions in the book you'll do well. At the end of the semester make sure you know the last chapter as well as the others. I didn't and missed a bunch of questions on the final because of it. : ( Oh yeah, the tests are hard - much harder than most teachers at SFSU. If you have the time (ha!), go to the website and at least review the answers to the online test. These questions did show up on the final.
