Mr. DelPonte is an excellent instructor! Some of my classmates complained that he was a tough grader and to some extent they're right, but it is this quality he has that makes him such a wonderful teacher. He is tough with grading and he points out the mistakes on one's paper, but hey, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, the way he grades, pointing out all my mistakes in writing is how I was able to learn and fix my mistakes. The fact that he didn't just look over papers give easy As was how I was challenged to write better to try to earn better grades. So while he may be a tough grader, it's totally NOT a bad thing! I learned so much from taking his class and my writing skills have improved because he was a tough grader; I'm so glad I took his class! Okay, here's the format of his class when I took it. There were six essays throughout the semester, a few small assignments which at the end of the semester were added up and equivalent to one essay, and a final, a practice JEPET, a real treat. I was a first year student when I took Mr. DelPonte's class last semester and ever since I first heard about the JEPET, I was worried about it. But thanx to Mr. DelPonte's final, the practice JEPET, I am now not so worried about it, because it gave me a taste of what it is and what it's like and it's really not so bad. I will end my evaluation here, but I would really like to close by recommending Mr. DelPonte as a instructor to those who are willing to work and would like improve their writing skills. For those who prefer easy graders and dislike/do not care about writing, then I'm sorry because Mr. DelPonte is a great instructor, but may not be the instructor for you. "A good thing requires hard work."
