Jeff Downing

Art is all about Creativity and Imagination and Jeff is all about that too. Never have I met a friendlier, more easygoing and more attentive teacher in my whole life. If you don't know how to do something (for example, centering, trimming....), Jeff would sit down and go over every single step until you finally got it. He's extremely patient. Eventhough the class is big, he'll make sure you're not left out. This class is not big on lectures or exams. Jeff would demonstrate throwing forms and then let you run wild with them. You don't have to make a vase that looks like a vase you buy at Pottery Barn. A vase could look like a square and it will still be art to Jeff. Jeff is very encouraging of his student. He never lets his students give up on any projects.
