Drew is a very mellow kind of a guy. He knows his material. I think the only downer was that it was 3 hours long, one day a week. Granted, we had the short break in the middle, but the class time seemed extra long due to the actual material we saw in class. I expected, and even wanted, more lecture coming from HIM, and not from a film. It really was a refreshing change to have guest speakers, and they were really cool. The exams were fine and the group project was nothing to stress about. I'd recommend him anytime.

Since taking Thought and Image I with a horrible teacher, i dreaded taking Thought and Image II or IAC 426. But this class was a positive experience for me. Not only were his lectures, slides/guest speakers interesting, he actually encourages you to think with creativity and to use your own imagination. He also knows the subject well. He is non judmental and respects all different opinions on any subject matter and with him no answer or feedback from a student was wrong. the class involves a midterm, a group project and one final paper. His personality is awesome since he is really down to earth and laid back and you can really tell he loves the subjects of the arts/media, etc...being a filmaker that he is. Overall, his personality is great and the class was very interesting and taught well and this was one class i never dreaded going to.
