Comments On The Grading:
Exams: Every exams had mistakes and he made us correct them by writing the directions on the board. Well, it tooked at least 15 minutes for him to write these instructions on the board and I got really impatient. The exams were also very tricky, confusing, and disorganize. Handwriting: Taking good notes was sometimes impossible because the diagrams and words on the slides were so so small. Lectures: Sometimes his lectures put me to sleep. The topic is already dry, but with him teaching just adds more fuel to the fire. Outside Class Availability: Never there when you need him the most. Personality: I find his jokes very corny. Sometimes I laugh at his jokes just because it is suppose to be a joke... Speaking Skills: If you have problems sleeping at night, come to his lectures and you are cure.

Well yes if you take KIN 355 which is a GE class Dr. Evans makes the learning experience as easy as possible but when it comes to Exercise Physiology he may give good lectures but his tests are tricky and deceiving. If you are a KIN major it is not the same experience taking a simple GE class that is purposely made easy. DUH!! If you have half a brain you could get an A in KIN 355!!!!!

Dr. evans provides a good learning environment that is easy to learn in, and yet provides a firm class that entails great amounts of information. His lectures are well organized, interesting, and a whole lot easier than the book. He always leaves space for students to ask questions, as well as answers them efficiently and easily. His lectures keep people awake even at 8:10 am in the dark room, and even adds humor. It's easy to see that the class not only respect him, but learns a good amount of info. I would give this man a good recomnendation and a raise anytime. He's great!

I would recommend Kin 355 to any students needing to fulfill the GE requirement for science; however, I do have some concerns regarding Dr. Evans. His lectures are stimulating and fun, but his tests seem incongruent with the material offered in the course lectures, readings, and notes. On the last exam, anything above an 81% was an A. If you care not for tests, take this instructor as he is a great lecturer.

Yes, although Dr. Evans is a decent lecturer-he is also TOO nonchalant about them. His tests are confusing and unappropriate. You can be in class everyday and he'll still make you feel like you don't know what you're talking about. It is not a class that will make you confident about your major at SFSU. Exercise Physiology can be made much less difficult than presented by Evans. He is very helpful though--as far as office hours.
