Glenn Fieldman

Firstly, I loved Prof Fieldman. Secondly, the reviews about her being an "unreconstructed Marxist" are totally blown out of proportion. While her perspective is clear, she in no way forced it upon the classroom, cut off students with opposing viewpoints, or any of the other unprofessional actions that reviewers have claimed. In fact, I thought she did a remarkable job of mediating discussions and letting people figure things out for themselves through class debates. I completely disagree with all the negative comments about her "closed-mindedness." Speak up in class! She, like most profs, enjoy when people interact and it will make the class more interesting for you too.

The 310 class was well structured and generally fun to attend, which you dont have to do all that much since she doesnt really mark down for poor attendance. A midterm in class and a final paper, both of which were of decent size. Just study what you were supposed to read and your lecture notes and you will do fine (duh).

The 331 class was even better. The readings were interesting and important, the class was set up well, and the workload was identical to IR 310.
