Stephen Fredricks

Stephen is a great professor. He is the first professor I have ever had that is actually there to help you in any way possible. He has no intentions of failing any of his students and if you put forth some effort he will make sure you pass. His homework isn't bad but he only grades a select few of the problems which can be annoying after you go to all the work of doing an assignment. He allows a notecard on tests and gives a practice test which is extremely similar to the in-class test. He is understands that most people hate math and tries to make it as painless as possible. He is also very understanding of his students. Stephen is a great professor.

what can i say about Mr.Fredricks... If only I can give more plus behind the A. This man is wonderful.. He really puts his time in getting his students to understand math. Ever since high school, I never understood the y-intercept theory. But taking his class made it all clear to me. Take it from me, you have to take his class.

Great teacher! Enthusiastic about the subject, well prepared for the lectures, gives background on theory and history of the development of the math (which can help you remember the ideas). Tests are easy if you do your homework and study the test review sheet. Take this class from Prof. Fredricks if you can!!!

Great teacher, Delivers the material clearly and proffessionally. I haven't studied math in several years and this class helped me recover all the basics and prepare for Calculus. Answers any questions directed to him by the class, quick response to emails. Gave many useful creative tricks on how to solve problems better and other good tips. Exams were fair, Included Extra Credit questions. Unlike some other teachers which are disconnected from reality, Stephen does not prohibit the use of calculators. Sometimes talks too much, but you get used to it... eventually :)
