imagine an assignment where you are given 30 terms and you have to pick the same 3 that the teacher did. if you don't pick the same three you fail the assignment. so you will have one of those every week and it will be worth 27% of your grade. ps. you are going to fail all off them.
another 40% for a project your going to fail and re write
another 12% for a budget assignment your going to get an F on this also.
and a final exam which is a complete wast of your time, i wasted the about 15 hours writing 8 pages, you will get the same F i did for writing 3 pages of bs. dont bother putting in any extra effort
she is EXTREMELY hypocritical "the entrepreneur does this, the entrepreneur does that" and she does absolutely nothing.
she gives the same lecture 10 out of 16 weeks and fails you if you don't show up 3 times
She will not tell you why you fail the assignments "the entrepreneur doesn't receive feedback for years"
the class received feedback on 2 assignments one weekly assignment and the 40% assignment. the feedback on the weekly assignment was the same for everyone, she told us the terms she picked out.
she will hand papers back 3 times at the end of the semester. no comments only F's.
at the end of the class she will tell you that she feels sorry for the people that stopped turning in weekly assignments after getting an F on all of them.
the class is a big wast of time for everyone except for the five or so people in the class that worship her
if you want to study entrepreneurship under her be prepared to worship the ground she walks on. pray to her at night. wait in line for an hour to see her in her office after class every week.
YES, THE LINE TO TALK TO HER IS AN HOUR LONG DURING OFFICE HOURS. EVERY TIME
she is extremely rude to the guest speakers. i guess she ran out of people that were willing to be a guest speaker and had to resort to a newspaper salesman, so we listened to him sell us newspapers for an hour

This woman is mean. She doesn't care what is going on outside of school in your life... whether you get in a car accident, get really sick, close person dies... she doesn't care. She expects her class to be your #1 priority. She has no sympathy what's so ever. She doesn't care about the students at all and she loves to talk about herself and everything supposedly so great that she has done. If you can avoid her, don't take her class. She thinks she is the sh*t.

Find another teacher..DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASSES FROM THIS WOMEN! She is the absolute worst teacher I have ever had. She is straight up rude and will insult you in class and make you feel like you are an inch tall, for no reason. Teachers should embrace their students and hope they are effectively teacher the course. This women is not. She could careless about her students, she thinks she is gods gift to management. Which she isn't. I haven't learned one single thing from her, except that she is a bitch.

For those students who want to take Mgmt 430, this teacher IS ONLY GOOD FOR ENTREPRENEURESHIP MAJOR, OTHERWISE DON'T TAKE IT FOR YOUR ELECTIVE. I can swear you will regret it. I thought I can handle the work and meet teacher's expectation. I am just a student who wants to pass this class and move on. With all the hardwork and time I put in, I have wasted it. Don't take this class unless you are determined to open up your own business, otherwise you will waste your time on the stuff you don't have interest on and work hard for nothing.
This teacher has good lecture, but the assignment she assigns are useless. She never curves the grading. Her industry analysis is a VERY, VERY, VERY DIFFICULT assignment. No one ever get the full maximum points which is 40.
The nice thing about her test is that you can take it home and work on it, but she wants a persuasive, concise exam answer. If you don't use the terms that are presented in class you are not going to pass the exam, regardless how well you explain.
I would recommend those student to take her because she has well business practice insights and advice. If you are doing your own business or about to, this teacher is good for you. You can learn a lot by doing your industry's analysis.
Those of you who just want to form a group and don't have much interest in the industry, I recommend you to do an industry you truly have interest in. Otherwise, it will waste your time and mental/physical energy. You don't get a reasonable grade too.

If you don't have time...DO NOT take this class!! Gaglio is not worth it. The semester is almost over and I still have learned NOTHING that is actually related to entrepreneurship!! She's a horrible grader...you won't know ON WHAT HER GRADING SYSTEM IS BASED ON!! Everytime she grades something the grading system varies and never makes sense!!...Of course, her classes are not well structured and she can be (about 99% of the time) very arrogant and bitchy. Don't expect anything grandious from this class... If you can, take someone else or even a different class!! I HAVE WARNED YOU GUYS!! By the way, if you decide to take her anyway, make sure to hand in homeworks, etc, on time... if not, you'll be punished...such as she won't accept your work at all or she takes a % off!!)

I enjoyed this class taught by Professor Gaglio. She is experienced and very knowledgeable about Entrepreneurship. Her grading is tough, but her constructive criticism is valuable. I learned a great deal from the class and found it applicable to the real world. If you are interested in starting a business, you should take this course. Keep in mind, not everything covered will pertain to your situation. However, this class is extremely motivating and worth the time. I recommend Professor Gaglio and this course to students who are interested in learning something worthwhile.

Be careful with this instructor. She is very knowledgeable about Entrepreneurship and knows business. So you will learn some things from her. Only problem is, she is not experienced with teaching academics. Plus, the Entrepreneur School is newly developed and everything in its curriculum is purely experimental. So basically, you will be the guinea pigs of this new concentration. Her tests are irrelevant to her discussion. Focus on her entrepreneur model! Most likely this will be tested. And if you can, push her to tell you what will be tested and request her to make sure all lectures are relevant to her exams. Otherwise, if you don't tell her, you will be the one who is screwed. Oh, and by the way, get used to that "The entrepreneur does..this...and that...." talk.
