Vijay Ganji

I dont know if it is the course material or the teacher, but his classes are soooo boring! He definitely seems unenthusiastic when it comes to teaching his class. Also, he is a worse advior than he his lecturer.

Dr. Ganji is a nice person. However, this man does not know how to teach. His lectures are extremely boring. He gives a couple breaks during the 3 hour class. People often leave during the breaks and don't come back. He has a very thick accent and half the time, I can't understand what he's saying. He can't help that the material is boring, but he could at least try to make it interesting. His test questions are usually fair but they're sometimes tricky. He grades fairly so that's one positive point. But at the end of the semester, I feel that I have really not learned anything. What a waste of time.

Dr. Ganji is a good professor and a good teacher, provided that you study for his exams. He does not base the entire grade on 2 midterms and a final, but has about 2-3 1 papers and a research paper. He's well organized and informational in his lectures and notes. He has improved this semester in that he requires the class take home the exam and redo it after they've taken it. Students are able to pick up extra points from that assignment and also relearn and understand the material better. He's also willing to answer any questions students have.

I most certainly agree with the above statement. Thank The Lord on High that I do not have to take that class again. He is completely lacking in any real world applications and knowledge. Lecture line by line out of the text, and the tests are from somewhere out of this world. I admit it, I did poorly on the midterm, but he lowered all of the standards thereafter to ensure a good class passage ratio. I'm sure he is a great guy outside of a lecture, but I'm not here to be buddies with my instructors (term used loosely here). If another instructor is available for this class, take that class-do not waste your money on this guy. All in all, I know I earned my "B" and wasn't one of those who got lucky with re-adjustments made.
