David Gard

He is extremely organized and I really like that. he brought alot of complexity and depth to the subject creating a challenging coherant learning environment. I was very I learned alot from this class. His tests are very difficult thought I must say. I studied really hard but kept getting low A's no matter how much I studied. I knew the material his multiple choice tests were quite tricky. Sometimes I don't think even he could come up with the right answer and he wrote the test!!!

This is a great class!! If you're lucky, each semester you might have one class that really challenges you and that you really look forward to attending. David Gard's Clinical Psycholgy was my winner for the semester. Mr. Gard is young and very enthusiastic about psychology. He has had alot of experience with clients in his private practice; this experience greatly enhances his lectures. His lectures are entertaining, interactive, and extremely informative. The coursework consists of one quiz, a midterm, a three-page paper and a final exam. His tests are challenging but fair. A teacher who actually asks intelligent, thought-provoking questions on a multiple choice test, AMAZING!! Mr. Gard is also a big believer in the idea that a person cannot be an effective therapist without a clear commitment to her own psychological work-I like that! I highly recommend this class to anyone seriously interested in the study of clinical psych. It's a winner and so is David Gard.

Dr. Gard is a remarkable teacher, especially for someone so young and new to the profession. He employs a style of teaching which showcases his strengths as a young person, which certainly speaks to young (or young feeling) students. In time, I think his style will only mature to an even more skilled and experienced instructor.
