Please please please do not take this lady for any CJ class!!!!! Well a couple weeks into the semester, Bianchi, a guy that actually knew the subject matter was terminated and then the brought this lady in whose only experience in the CJ system was working as a nurse in the jail. she knew absolutely nothing about the subject. she didnt even know the basics that were taught into intro to CJ --- come on if your going to be a cj teacher reasearch just a little. the only reason a gave her an a for homework and tests is because there were none. when she first came in she asked us to write a getting to know you paper. redoing that paper and adjusting the margins was our final which was compiled into a little book and handed out on the day of the final. we had to do away with the books that we had spent about 150 bucks on for a little book on prison writing. the only other assignment was to present on one of the authors from the book which was stupid because she interuppted everyones presentations and pretty much presented for them. the field experience component was very unstructured ... she never told us what to do -- we had to figure it out on our own. over all she pretty much sucked..i dont know how she is in the social science classes but if you are serious about CJ -- please do not take her-- you will gain absolutely nothing.
