Deborah Gerson

Anybody looking to take an easy class, look no further. Dr. Gerson only assigns three essays, all of which are simple and straight-forward. there is hardly any homework at all(only occasional reading) and there are no tests. the reading is actually interesting stuff, and attendance isn't manditory...but is reccommended b/c she takes roll EVERY class meeting. but if you show up and do your work you should have no problem passing the class.

The class isn't hard, but Gerson has difficulty dealing with her personal problems. She needs to leave those outside of the classroom. When we went to war, she couldn't go on with the day and ended class after only a few minutes. If she's having a bad day, she is likely to fail the class. Her personality is terrible and she needs to be more professional. If you disagree with her personal opinion, she will mark you down.

If you have to take this class, just talk a lot and agree with her no matter what.

I'm sorry, but, although this class was easy, it was extremely boring. Honestly it's not hard to get an A if you do the work, but DO NOT EXPRESS YOUR OPINIONS! You will and has graded down (even to F's) if your opinions do not match hers.

There were a few okay discussions over the couse of the class; theres a fair amount of reading, but some of it is ok. No tests; midterms sucked.

She wants you to say everything about yourself, every detail (this comes in the form of a paper/open discussion. Her lectures are long, boring. She'll cut you off, has an irritating laugh, and does not ever quit talking. If she says we have 15 min of small group discussion, in the end its like 8 min, the rest if her talking even AFTER she told us to split up.

So if you can manage to stay awake, take this class, although it is BORING and has an irritating teacher.

Dr. Gerson is absolutely one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She outwardly humiliates her students, grades irratically and unfairly, she is boring, conducts class poorly, and made each class meeting unbearable. I would not take her again for any class nor would I recommend her to anyone else! I'm not kidding-she needs to quit teaching because she's done!
