Amanda Goldberg

I took HED 310 (Health and Society) with her. She was awesome. She is a great lecturer. She likes to crack jokes once in a while. This class is one of the most useful classes you can take at state. It teaches you how to stay healthy. Being healthy is the most important thing because you cant buy health with money.

The class required two papers, attending a health activity (at the student health center), a midterm, and a final. The exams are multiple choice, very easy. She doesn't concentrate on definitions at all. Everything is very general and almost common sense.

I recommend this class with this teacher to everyone. You will learn information which will help you in every day life.

She's a great teacher because she was able to make a 3 hour night class very interesting which makes my long commute home worth it. There's 2 exams, personal health + social health paper and a health workshop summary. She's very accessible in her office hours in case you have questions about the assignments. I wished that she could have finished grading the papers within 2 weeks instead of 3-5 weeks but despite that, I've enjoyed her class a lot because she makes you think about the issue that you would have never thought about before.

amanda, is such a good lecturer when it comes to teaching health related topics. i was so engaged with how she taught it kept me awake throughout the semester being that she teaches night classes. she grades 50/50 on exams and writing assignments. so theres the midterm and final both being scantron format and two 4-5 page assignments and one health workshop summary paper. thats all too it, she keeps you awake for night class cuz she makes you laugh and really engage into the specific topics. have fun!!!
