Ricardo Gomes

God bless Ricardo! He is truly a reflection of God's presence in the classroom with his generosity and willingness to help and assist the student in all their needs. Feeling that a teacher really cares is important and that's what I see in Ricardo. I am so fortunate to have had him and believe that anyone who chooses to take him is in for a treat.

Ricardo is probably one of the only teachers in the department who possesses real experience in the design profession. A lot of the students in the department make negative comments about his teaching style/ personality allegating that he is too harsh or offers criticism in the wrong ways. I could only say that the reason students feel this way is because they are used to getting high marks for half-assed work (laziness). If you really expect to get a job in Industrial Design...you need to work hard and criticism/ critique combined with a professional opinion is a huge benefit that students in other schools of similar studies will never get. Believe me, after you have taken all the other teachers in the department (many of whom have no professional experience or working knowledge of current software programs), you'll feel fortunate for taking one of Ricardo's classes. Evenmoreso, he'll get you a good job in the industry...he has many contacts. Do any of the other teachers do that for you?
