William Hayes

Prof. Hayes is unlike any professor I've ever had at SFSU in the last 2 years. He is really there to teach and learn himself, and achieves both so well. I recommend taking him to anybody. He gives dittos with every thing pertinent to each class session, the next one and the last one. Good blend of current, past and future issues in this class, as well as classic and modern thoughts/theories on the subject matter. Hayes is GREAT!!!!! I can't believe he doesn't teach more classes, because me and and others who take him all really want to take another class with him. Really, don't pass up the opportunity to take such a truly good professor.

Bill Hayes is one of the most enthusiastic and dynamic professors. He is a great addition to the Soc department! He is very passionate about his work. Bill is motivated to help you learn and to think critically. He provides great summary sheets that recap previous lectures and reinforce key concepts. He also provides positive and constructive feedback. His lectures and course material are engaging, but manageable. If you have him for a mid-afternoon class, he'll occassionally treat you to some chocolates!

Dr. Hayes is the finest teacher I have had instuct me since the 6th grade. He lives and breathes students, his motivation and care for the subject are obvious. I hope he gets more classes to teach. The handouts were clear. The reader actually was interesting. He listens to questions and gave the students a 5 minute beak. This teacher is good. Real good.

Professor Hayes is hands-down the most caring, dynamic teacher I've had in the past 4 years. He truly wants you to learn the subject matter and will do anything to help you learn. His handouts are extremely helpful, especially if you don't take good notes. I would highly recommend Dr Hayes to anybody... also not a high-stress class, though he does expect high quality work.
