Not for me.

At first, I was excited to go to the GEOG 658. The material is very interesting to me and Jason had some good insight. It was only after a few weeks and several tongue lashings to students who were late that I realized more about him. I think it is his edge that makes him interesing but it is also a turn off. He made a point that his students were on time or he degraded you. Yet, on more than one occassion he was several minutes late starting lectures because his computer and the projector wouldn't talk. If you expect that your students are on time and if MUNI is late then leave earlier, he should show us the same respect. And his blaming of everyone else for his problems got old quickly. His exams weren't that difficult. He gives you a study guide and two essay questions (he picks one for the exams) which if you follow will likely lead to a good grade. However, he is picky and misses parts of essays and then takes points off. I really like Land Use and Planning and considered in enrolling in another course that he teaches. But after this experience, I won't. I expect a bit more out of my instructor. Professionalism being the first.
