Leticia Hernandez

Both the class and Leticia were excellent! Leticia is extremely intelligent and creative, yet she is not at all pretentious or too serious like many instructors. There were about 6 or 7 books to read and she demands you read them closely and critically. Fortunately most of the books were amazing! Ms. Hernandez has a great presence in the classroom and an interesting sense of humor (that can be a bit intimidating if you're shy). She's a poet, a performance artist and works closely with bay area youth and with the Latino community! As an aside, when I had personal issues, she was extremely supportive and sweet! Leticia has been the single best teacher I've had here at State!
