3 years after having a class with this teacher i still shudder when i pass her in the hallway, and i just wanted to spread the word about how terrible of a person she is. She has absolutely no respect for any of her students. she will yell at you in class whether you are wrong, right, or simply have a concern about the language. I thought teachers were supposed to be there to help students, but she seems to be trying to hinder the learning of French. It is disgusting! Besides being the most rude and bitter teacher i have ever had, she is hte most rude and bitter person i have ever encountered. I strongly reccommend never ever taking one of her classes unless you want to be humiliated on a daily basis or be stressed all the time, or be told to your face that you do not deserve to study french. On a side note, I never had a bad encounter with this teacher, and recieved a fair grade in her class (though learning very little). I did not write this review to exact revenge upon her, but to tell people who want to know about her what they can expect based upon my experiences in watching her degrade anybody who made their presence known in her class, whether to try and learn, or combat her repoachable behavior. she is just plain a bitch.

I have mixed feelings about Miss Herrera. She is a very intelligent woman who seems to know just about everything, but her teaching style could use some improvement. She is very strict with her students, and does seem to get angry quite a lot, but I don't think that she should be condemned for it. She does cover pronunciation along with the grammar, and I am glad for it, because it gives me a chance to improve my pronunciation, and takes away from the boring grammar review. I learned a lot from this class even though the teacher wasn't that nice.
