Wonderful. A great teacher that believes in student input and discussing the reasons, not just the facts. No way to slide by in his higher classes though, if you are looking for an easy A, look somewhere else. His 300 class is especially good, concentrating on small parts of history and teaching the way that historical research is done and papers are written. He used to be an english teacher and it shows on his grading. You will definetly be a better writer afterward.

Excellent instructor! His lectures are organized, outlined and easy to follow. He is passionate about his discipline and has obviously spent time in the field. The class is composed of 3 tests (including the final) which are in essay form. He offers extra credit also. There is a lot of books for this class (6-7) but he only assigns small sections, which a student might be able to get away without reading them, since he talks about them in class. Interesting subject and wonderful teacher!!
