This class sounded very interesting at first, but Prof. Juang makes the class boring. Her lectures have nothing to do with the book, but her tests are stright from the chapters. She asks very specific questions on her test and requires you to know meaningless information like years that certain studies were done and names of people that half the class never heard of. If you are not good at memorizing stuff straight from a book- then don't take her class. Her teaching skills are not quite as developed as they should be.I am a psychoolgy major and I really didn't enjoy this class at all. Basically, the tests are very hard and just end up bringing your grade down. This is not a G.P.A booster class!

Proffesor Juang is a great teacher and very easy to approach... I really recommend taking a class with her!!! She is very receptive to other students comments and questions, sometimes a little too much and lets students ramble. But when she is lecturing it is easy to follow and definitly holds your interest. She seemed a little unsure at the beginning of the semester, but once she got a feel for the variety of students, everything was great!

I enjoyed being in Dr. Juang's Adol Psych course. A lot of the material covered, were things I could relate to, even in my 20's. Lectures for the most part, were thorough; the overhead is also used often. Contrary to most other large classes I've been in, her tests are comprised of multiple choice, as well as short answer essays (which may or may not be a good thing, depending on how you look at it). As long as you do the readings for each chapter and attend class, you should be all set for the exams. Also, she posts 5 discussion board questions throughout the semester, which helps those who don't participate in class, a chance to voice their own opinions. Overall, the class was taught well; the videos were sometimes entertaining. The only part I didn't like was when our class would get off track on the discussions, which would hold us back from learning new material that was going to be on the test the follow class meeting. It would sometimes get tedious, and as I remember one student saying, "it's like another class," in response to classmates carrying on their own little discussions. Having such an engaging class isn't always advantageous, especially if the class is large and you can't always hear who's speaking. I feel as though Dr. Juang could've been a better mediator during those times, instead of letting the class veer so far off track. But overall, I'd recommend her!

Linda was a great lecturer! It took her a week or two to settle into the class, but her style is great, and she's very good at hearing what people have to say. Class went by really fast when she was talking, but the occasional guest speaker or movie made it seem like an eternity. Overall, she was a great teacher.

Linda Juang follows the teacher/student contract to a T. She communicates clearly, specifies what information to really focus on, and encourages questions, providing well-informed answers. Her class never once stressed me out because I always knew what was expected from me as a student. I reccomend her to anyone who wants effective learning and a very fair grade.

i attempted to sit through Ms. Juang's class a couple of days ago and it felt as if she had the ability to stand time still. This eerie feeling was so unbearable that I reasoned that if she could numb my brain in such a way in less than 30 minutes, I couldn't even imagine what she could do to it after 15 weeks, the thought it's simply unbearable. Some hynotizers can put you into trance with a pendulum, Ms. Juang can do the very same with her monotonoous voice and lecture style.
I recommend you take her class if you suffer from chronic insomnia.

Dr. Juang is one of the better teachers whom I have encountered in three semesters in the psychology department.
She lectures well, using overheads as speaking guides, supplementing these materials with data from her own knowledge. In other words, she is not reading directly from overheads as do a number of psychology professors. She also uses films and charts for those of us who are more visually inclined.
Dr. Juang tests fairly. Her style, which is to combine essay and multiple choice, gives everyone the opportunity to earn high marks. Her test questions incorporate the data from her lectures. She is approachable and willing to meet with students to discuss test discrepancies.
A feature of Dr. Juang's class that I found exciting involves an on-line and on-going comment/review assignment on a web site shes created. Several times throughout the semester she assigns a controversial topic to which students must respond with short essays. She also requests that we comment on at least one other classmates essay.
All in all, Dr. Juang is a fair, consistent and encouraging teacher.

Linda Juang is a breath of fresh air. Excellent informative lectures, not like others - boring or a waste of time. Time flies when you are in her class. She is fair, easy to understand, productive and energetic. The class is full everyday throughout the semester because all of the students enjoy her lecture. Thank goodness I got into her class. If you get a chance - do it you won't regret it!
