He never stops talking about himself

I was terribly disappointed in this class, and it was one that I was really interested in taking. The professor talked incessantly about himself. Whatever the topic, he told us how it impacted him. A classmate and I started making side bets on the exact time he would do that in each class and I made a couple of bucks, and that was the best thing about the class. I guess you can tell this class drove me crazy. The readings were far off the edge into political correctness, so I didn't get a sense of learning about the political background and consequences of environmental actions, and that is what the class promised. The comments on my writing were almost completely unhelpful. I got pretty much nothing out of this class, and I advise others interested in this topic to go to the library and read on your own time. Egocentrism is not appealing as a teaching style!

An ego maniac

This class was a tremendous disappointment. The reading was dreadful--from the text that he happened to write to the "eco-feminist" manifesto. There are several essays and one in class exam, but the feedback on the papers was impossible to make sense out of. The lectures were great at times, but the class was about him so he rarely diverted the spotlight. Overall, the class was a big mistake and it completely sucked.
