Disorganized class from a disorganized teacher

Sandra is a highly disorganized teacher. The class is only 1 unit and is supposed to prepare students for their portfolio presentation. However, she insisted that most students have 3 forms of presentations- 1 is the major component, and the other 2 are smaller ones.

Although we were allowed to choose to present our works in the form of a webpage or otherwise, the fact that she spent about 75% of the class time showing and demonstrating how to compile our portfolio into a book made her slant pretty obvious. Also, she is very condescending towards web and product designers cos she is more of a print and graphic person herself.

She also has her favorites in class. These students were critical of others' works, but present very poor quality works themselves.

Anyhow, in order to accomodate the number of students in the class, our final presentation was reduced to "This is my works. Hope you like it (flip a few pages or a few clicks...). Thank you." There was no time to give final critiques and pointers and it was pretty much a self-congratulatory session.

While she encourages students to submit only their best works , some students have nothing but only school projects to show for. These may not be "high quality" stuff, but the fact is these students would not have anything in their portfolio if they followed Sandra's guidelines on what is a good portfolio.

Anyhow, the best portfolio that were shown in class were from students who did their own work and ignored Sandra's advice. While they may (or may not) get a good grade for the class because of that, the fact that their portfolio kicks ass more than make up for the 1-unit hoax that this class is!
