Tara Kheradyar

This is a great class. I highly recommend it. The students who find this class boring are sadly absent most of the time.

This class is boring to begin with, and I think she's done her best to make it interesting, interesting movies, easy exams. But boring... period.

Her teaching style is tedious and boring! She does not connect the topic to anything in order to make it more interesting. Her lectures are monotone and dull. Her projects are elementary - group project presenting dinosaurs, drawing assignment, making charts, going to the musem and answering questions about the exhibits. Her exams are very detailed, and some questions seem to come out of nowhere. If you are really interested in spending four months learning about sponges and similar early animals - this teacher is for you, otherwise I would not recomend it.

This woman has twice the patience of Mother Teresa. She can be a lot of fun, is very interesting, and schedules good side trips for the class. Her tests are easy if you study, and you can still probably get C's if you don't (but you need to read and be in class). She gives extra credit. This is an enjoyable and relatively easy class to take for Segment 1 if you need it, and Professor TK is worth studying with, regardless of the class.

She is a very nice teacher. She tries really hard to explain things in her lectures. A lot of times, you could ask her to explain it more clearly after class, and she would be so glad to answer you questions that he would always have a smile on her face. Because she knows that her own writing is not good, she would post all her lecture notes online. There is almost no homework for her class, and if you study hard on the notes that she have posted, I gurantee you will get an A on her mutiple choice exams (3)

The lectures are sort of difficult. And Tara always gives extra films with handouts to fill in. However, you can really learn a lot of things at the end. All exams are multiple choices and come out from the notes put on Library Electronic Reserve System which helps a lot for preparing the exams. Teacher is very nice and thoughtful. Explain questions clearly. Field trip is very interesting, too.
