Martha Klironomos is truly in love with the Greek language and her passion is infectious. She is passionate, compassionate, and really very funny. I always enjoy going to her classes. Her strength is more in literature and culture, so if you’re just looking to chat a bit in Greek, you may find her too easily side-tracked in the history and culture of the language, but her perspective is really very enriching. In the beginning she seems to go very slowly (to the experienced language student) with the alphabet and few very simple phrases, but laying in those basics later proves to be worth the investment of time. Later she picks up speed and the class proves more challenging than it seems at first.

Martha Klironomos is an exceptional professor whom I have had the priviledge of getting to know. She is extremely knowledgeable in Greek studies of all areas - the language, the history, modern issues and politics, music, trends, and much more. Though her class focused on the Greek language alone, I felt her extra knowledge helped considerably for a more interesting experience. Most of all, however, Martha's passion and genuinity was the most admirable. She spoke of Greece and the Greek language with true adoration and interest. She often treated her students with a similar interest, as sheseemed to really care about our learning experience, and who we were as people. Professor Klironomos is an inspiring and passionate human being and I encourage all to take a class from her.
