Lucia Lachmayer

I really enjoyed this class...I was kinda bummed to have to get use to a newteacher during the semester but she made the best of it. She also put a lot of heart into the class which showed.

In class, you wouldn't think you're learning; because it doesn't feel like it. A lot of the stuff that Ms. Lachmayr taught, would just absorb into your brain. I didn't even know that I was learning, until it came to writing the essays. Ms. Lachmayr really wants her students to understand how important those THESIS STATMENTS, TOPIC SENTENCES, AND PIE are in your essays. (THANK YOU MS. LACHMAYR!!!) She really makes her way out, to help students. (Too much homework, though. But that's okay.. Practice makes perferct. )Her reviews on the essays are very personal. You can tell that she really went over you essay. The acutal response you get from her, are human responses. Nothing like the type of teachers who just put corrections. One time I had a teacher who looked like the dude from the "Clear Eyes" commercial. Ms. Lachmayr is nothing like that; she's cool. Overall, I say she's a very good teacher. Nothing like those lectures which you listen, then slowly fall asleep when you blink your eyes. I wanna call her WONDER WOMAN, only because her personality would be perfect. By the way, THANK YOU MS. LACHMAYR, for showing us ways of writing that we didn't know. YOU ROCK!!!!!

You know what... being a teacher is tough work, especially when you come in for another teacher. Lucia has demonstrated to my class that she knows her stuff. It's hard to fnd teachers that really do take the extra effort to communicate with their students. Any time I had a question, her door was always open, and her replies to e-mails were instantaneous. Above all, I actually learned how to write in her class. She has helped me grow into my thoughts, and for this I have developed a new passion to write a novel in the near future.She helped me think about concepts that others ignored. She showed me that even if you think your papers are perfect, there is alway room to question and revise. I have to thank her for opening my eyes to my personal capabilities in writing. She has done a fantastic job this semester, and I would recommend her to any student with a mind for insight and a passion for learning something worth your wild. Great job this semester Lucia.
