Dr Lee is a very difficult person to learn from. I had him for chemistry lab, so the course material was already set. However, his lab tests often had nothing to do with the experiments we did and instead focused on abstract quantatative calculations. He would change the subject each time someone brought up a problem with one of his tests and failed to understand the frustration of the students in his class. The amount of work he required for the lab write ups was astronomical, often taking 12-24 hours to complete. He's a poor teacher, but a brilliant scientist.

Although he probably means well, Dr. Lee should not be teaching chemistry. He lacks the ability to lecture coherently or answer student's questions. I want to stress again that he does not answer questions well or at all! In our class, students were better off reading the book and skipping lecture because the lectures just clouded the information the book presented. However, he was very good about changing test grades when a student complained about unfair grading. Overall, I would not recommend that you take his class if you want to learn anything new about chemistry.
