Paula is a wonderful teacher. She definitely has knowledge and command of the subject. She's very clear with her lectures, and she is willing to do a problem over if asked. So long as you show up to all the lectures and do all the homework problems (which is designed to help you with the quizzes), it is impossible to fail the class. Her quizzes contain 10 problems, which resemble the problems she assigns for homework, and she grades homework quite heavily. I highly recommend Paula!!!Take her...

Paula is a cool instrcto rin SFSU. although some student might not like her because you somehow will not get what is she saying (cant understand her sometimes) but i think she is hecka nice to people esp with student. she is like a grad student, because she probably is, but she is a grad material in a good sense. she sometimes come in late. the BAD thing to watch out about her is that she sometimes have different method which is different from the book. the GOOD things: well, she is very generous about giving grade,(like you might have a failing grade like D or something, but you can still make up with it in like the finals.) she is open to student, very helpful to student, she has a very open time to meet up with students with problems either it concerns your grade of her. She offers a lot oh HELP. she is well recommended. very nice and sweet.

Paula was a very nice student- teacher. I believe this was her first semester teaching before becoming a teacher. She did well because she was organized and prepared to lecture everytime the class met. She knows how to clearly explain her ideas and transmit them to the class. She made math understandable and easy for me, as well as other students I spoke with. Her syllabus was clear and listed all that was necessary to pass the course and it even included the dates on which assignments were due. Her class did run a bit boring at times becuase it was nothing but lecture and lecture. It was difficult to capture all the information at once and the class was not really motivated enough. She also had a hard time having students talk out loud to answer her math questions. I guess some didn't feel confident enough to share their answers. She needs to make her students feel more confident and motivate more.

Paula is a very good math teacher. There are five homework assignments due throughout the semester and 5 quizes and the final. If you attend class regularly and do all the homework questions and turn them in on time you will most likely pass with at least a B. Paula knows what it is like to be a student and she is careful to explain the mathmatical concepts in the easiest ways. I personally don't really like the way the book explains the math concepts. Paula usually explains the material differently than the book in ways that are easier to understand. She also allows questions on the homweork to be asked in the beginning of class. Basically if you pay attention to the lectures, take notes, ask questions, and do the homework, the quizzes will be pretty easy.
