Vidus Leung

Vidus is a very good professor. I took him for AAS310 last semester and learned a lot from him. He is very energetic and brings a lot to the class. He makes it as interesting as possible in class and the lectures are very informative. Plus, there isn't much to do either which is great. Keep up the good work professor Leung.

Vitus is an awesome professor, and you'll only be doing yourself a disservice by not taking him. I also took his 4 hour night class, and despite the length, Vitus made the time just fly by. His lectures are very engaging, and most of the students in the class end up participating in the discussion at one point or another. It's an awesome experience to have an intelligent, lively, and stimulating class discussion. That's what AAS classes should all be like.

Grading-wise, it's pretty easy. Just show up to class, take notes on whatever Vitus writes on the board, and you'll do fine. He tries to make his exams sound harder than they really are, so don't worry TOO much about them. The readings are pretty dry, but there's only a few hundred pages over the WHOLE semester, so it's negligible.

Overall, Vitus provides a comfortable atmosphere, and that leads to a very enjoyable 3 or 4 hours per week. Do yourself a favor and take him!

I took Vitus' class on a Tuesday night from 7-9:45 p.m. which I expected to drag on and on for hours, but instead, the lectures were interesting and informative, and he always let us out early, sometimes over an hour early, which was very nice. He is a very good lecturer and knows what he's talking about. He grades on a midterm, a final, and class participation. I didn't have to take the midterm, but I took the final, and didn't really study(it was open note) and got an A in the end, so he is way nice when he grades I guess. By the way, yeah, he is cute, he looks really young, I am still curious how old he is:)

Vitus Leung was an excellent teacher. I walked into his class not knowing practically anything about Chinese in America and I learned so much and actually remember a lot of the things that he lectured about. His lectures are well organized and make sense! His exams are simple as long as you show up to class and take notes.

Vidus is a very funny and smart teacher. He knows his material well and grades on the effort you put in class. I have never learned so much about Chinese American History until I took his class. Some female students even said he was good looking.
