Of course there is no way to elude professor Levine if you want to graduate in Computer Science. Well I can't say he is a bad teacher -- actually you can learn a lot from him. He is just mean to people and not fair grader. I saw people who didn't pass the class three times although they are really smart. And that's because of the midterm and final -- we have compared each other exams (and you know we all prepare for tests in groups) and the same wording would be graded differently, and not little different but completely different. On the other hand there are people who really messed up tests and were able to cheat every project but could get away with Levine's blessing, those are cases involving kissing-ass thing! He seems as he doesn't like kiss-ass people, but that's only because he LOVES them. Final and midterm: study every question on the list, there should not be suprises. If you are lucky you will pass. Projects: start with simple "Hello world" and goes up to creating your own Debugger (that's when you wanna kill yourself so do not procrastinate on that). Valueble advice: if you have somebody to take all the projects and answers to exam questions from do it! You will feel really bad when you will end up screwing yourself on tough projects and thinking you are so smart doing it yourself while others will hand in copies of friend's projects and get a better grades.
