Susan Mallet

This teacher realizes that with a high failure rate of JEPET (over 65%), no one really wants to take another English Comp class. I took this in summer and she really made the class fun and interesting. The class seemed more like a review of grammar & writing skills. We had easy homework assignments and were to do 5 essays in 6 weeks (which weren't as easy as one might think). Susan taught us very useful writing skills that I know will be very necessary in any upper division class, like BUS 360. She is really down to earth and always makes sure we understand what the subject is about before moving on. It's not hard to get in the B or C range, but getting an A is hard, as many people surprisingly found out. It is a general assumption of people that if they get A's on 20 page term papers, that they will ace this class. Think again.
