Dr. Martin is the best professor I've had since coming back to school. She puts a lot of effort into preparation for class, gives great lectures, makes fair--if challenging--tests, is available to students, really loves her subject and cares about teaching it well. Jane Martin is an excellent teacher. Biochemistry is an intense class but she gives great leactures and good notes. Her exams are fair and come from the topics covered in class. She is easy to approach, and gives many opportunites to ask questions. She curves the tests but does not drop any. Gives many short quizes and graded in-class problems. The final is semi-cumulative meaning about a third of it is review and the rest is over recent material.

She is a fantastic teacher! Works you hard and actively helps you to understand the material. She is compassionate and a phenomenal speaker. She is a fair grader and makes herself available to her students.

Dr. Martin is an excellent professor. Her general biochemistry is an intense class, but she has done a great job helping the students to learn the subject well.
