Professor Okazawa-Rey challenges graduate social work students (don't know if she teachers undergrads...) to examine their "guiding principles", theoretical framework and position of privelege bestowed upon social work practitioners in relationship to the people they serve. Using a variety of approaches to the course material and objectives, this professor prods students to challenge many assumptions about the why and wherefore of our economic social relations. Her classes are lively with discussion and the exchange of ideas. She sets high standards for performance, but the process of attaining such is a valuable learning experience. She is generally approachable, available and clearly enjoys teaching. Check it out.
