Alicia Pierce

The general concensus is that Alicia Pierce is intimidating, scornful, irritable, and impatient just to name a few. This is only half the truth. Keep this in mind the next time you receive a dirty look for not mastering a dance move. Alicia Pierce is a criminal who goes unprosecuted for her participation in the gang rape of a former student with a broomstick handle. The female was pregnant at the time of the assault. She was tortured, raped repeadetly and sodomized while Alicia Pierce observed. It is a shame that she goes unprosecuted for her participation in this disgusting act of vulgarity, BUT she does. The best that we can do is warn you. Consider yourself warned!!!!

Prof. Pierce is an excellent instructor. I was very happy to be part of her class because it only made me become more serious about dance and the art of it. Although, she is a bit intimidating and I can tell she becomes irritated when the class is not getting it, she still listens and tries to break it down in more detail as she can. Her confidence makes me confident. :)

I was very disapointed in this class. Alicia believes that all dance stems from one thing African American Dance! She lacks in lecture skills!She does not understand how to engage the class in a meaningful discussion..she insisted that we never opened our text when infact we had!!! She had excellent guest performers though. She was however not clear on what she expected or wanted from her reviews. She gives take home tests/quizes.

Great dancer, but as a teacher she kinda sucks... She only broke down routines once during the entire semester and expected her students to be professional dancers, like she is herself. Again.. needs to work on her "teaching" skills.

I had Ms.Pierce for Modern Jazz 1. She is a wonderful dancer, and great teacher. She may seem a little intimidating, but she's actually a very approachable person. She hates it when people are tardy though. If you are more than 10 minutes late to class, you can't participate, which is understandable. I got a B+ in the class only because I was always late, and frequently absent.

At first, I was intimidated by Alicia Pierce. She seemed all hard core and unapproachable. I reality, she is really cool but she is definately hard core. She is a beautiful dancer and has a good sense of humor. She's a stickler for attendance, and she gives exams at the end of the semester- so you have to be serious about the class or she will not be pleased with you. I have taken two dance classes with Pierce and I'm taking another one next semester- so i guess you could say i recommend her as a teacher... :) P.S. The in-class drumming is amazing

If you want to take a dance class and actually want to enjoy it, then you will want to take ANYTHING by Dr. Pierce. She is an awesome instructor and definately knows what she is doing! Her classes employ real live drummers and, consequently, the mood of the class is really uplifting - better than a Calgon bath! Her workouts aren't whimpy, either! Anyway, I guarantee you won't regret taking one of her classes - take a chance and expose yourself to something really unique!!
