Anastasia Prentiss

Ms. Prentiss ROCKS! But that doesn't mean it's an easy class. My class was once a week, and one homework assignment was assigned each week. There is one group project, in which you get to use your creative side, she loves it when you USE your imagination. There are two other speeches you have to give, both are only 8 minutes, it's quick and painless. She gives you plenty of time to complete your projects, and she is very easy to contact, by e-mail!! She always responds, and is very personable. It's obvious that Ms. Prentiss teaches to help others, not herself, she's here for the students, and her attitude shows that. This class is for any person who is afraid to speak in front of a group, believe me when I say that! Take this class, you won't regret it.

Prentiss is an incredible person and a very good teacher. She is the type of teacher who loves to teach and deeply cares about each student. The class can get a bit mushy sometimes but it is also enlightining. This is good class to take but expect to work and study a fair amount.

Although this "professor" may be kind, she is completely unqualified and unprepared for all lectures and instruction. If you want an easy "A" and are uninterested in learning anything than this is the class for you. Don't get me wrong, she is nice, but she has no control over the class and little subject knowledge that she shares with the class.

This teacher made it a joy to come to class - especially for a night student like me. She is funny and kind and very helpful. She creates an environment in which all students, including those only taking the course for a requirement, feel comfortable. She gives ample time to prepare the required speeches. It is the only class I have ever taken in which the entire class felt bonded and sad that the class was ending. This is because of the great atmosphere she creates. We learned alot, had fun and worked hard. She is a credit to her profession and I look forward to taking another of her classes.
