Co-teacher of one of the best classes I ever took, Don Provence has a sharp mind and expects his students to have the same.
The textbook he assigned was "Consciousness Explained," by Daniel Dennett, at the time one of the best things in the field of cognitive science from the philosopher's camp. This was a recent book, hotly discussed even amongst working philosophers (that's not an oxymoron), and over the heads of much of the class.
For the ten percent of us who were really into it, his lectures were flights of imaginative fancy, deeply challenging and profoundly rewarding. The rest of the class daydreamed about getting laid, read the sports page, or wondered what their sorority sisters were up to.

Dr Provence seemed to have a small mind for someone that should be a Philosopher. He needs to become more enlightened. I got out of his stupid class right away. This is not a class to learn from. Avoid this Proffessor and learn better philosophy.
