A really nice guy who almost seems too nice its freaky. He is really into the class which is a change from any other college professor I've ever had. I guess thats a good thing but it is so different it seems strange. He gives a lot of papers and on top of that homework ditto handouts. He demands a lot and I would have to say he pushes the right buttons. I'd take this class again. I feel prepared for the JEPET.

Oh god where do I start. Okay when I was registering for class I read his review and I was happy to be able to get into his class. His a literature teacher which means if your coming out of 114 where you had a composition teacher that didn't spend a lot of time on grammar than you'll fail his class. He is NOT an easy grader. He will mark you down for not putting a comma, or not putting on apostrophy. He is very anal when it comes to grammar, he doesn't care if you spend a lot of time consentrating on the meaning of the essay. Its true you have 6 essays to write, 1 is not graded, 3 are short essays (1-2pages)and its 30% and 2 are long (4-3p)which are 40% of your grade, you have a presentation which is easy. There is no homework other than readings. He has a very loud voice, so he tries to make everyone stay awake. The material you read is pretty boring, they all are short stories and poetry. So if you put alot of thought into your essays and dont put a lot of emphasis on grammar,,,,then dont take his class. Good luck!!!!

What can I say? Eric, as he prefers to be called, is an awesome professor! He's younger than most profs so he relates to his students very well. Eric's really funny too - he jokes sometimes and he knows how to keep the class awake. We had around 5 essays assigned but most of them were short (1-2 or 3-4 pages) and fairly easy. He's a pretty generous grader, too, I guess. Oh yeah, we had to do one group presentation in the beginning but I guess it was no biggie...just as long as you went up and talked, you got an automatic A. I swear, this is one class that flew by so FAST this sem! All the things we read were pretty interesting, too.
