Sami is a very thoughtful and easygoing teacher I've had in SFSU. This class has lots of on-line assignments and you will do your show at the end of the semester. Overall, it’s not very hard because she will give you lots of time to prepare these stuff beforehand. Most of the papers are for your own show. For example, you will need to write a proposal, PSA script, community service script for the 15-minute show. And you can practice yourself before you actually do that. And she organized her material and time very well. I felt she always puts herself in students’ shoes and that is why some students said, “she is so cool!!” But there will be many unannounced quizzes, which are based on the lecture and on-line course. Don’t hesitate to take this class, especially if you decide to practice to be a DJ.

I found Prof. Reist to be kind and available and for that alone I gave her an "A". She is warm with little ego. This can be a rare quality with Instructors. I'd recommend her class because she is a good teacher and a good person.

Nancy "sami" Reist is mediocre at best. She does okay during lectures, but she seems distracted and otherwise spaced out most of the time. I took this class Fall 98, so I am having trouble remembering specifics. I do not feel as if I learned alot in this course, KSFS I, intro to radio. Overall she is a mediocre instructor, specifically, she seems "out of it".
