Whoever gave Laura the F is crazy! This is probably the least stressful class I have ever taken. As far as homework assignments go, you basically get to do whatever you want and write a 2-3 page paper about it. 2-3 pages!! Come ON, that's nothing. I've had classes where I had to write 6 15-page essays! You can't go to college/university and expect to have no homework assisgnments. The ropes course was fun and thought-provoking. This class is a GREAT way to get a GE out of the way. She doesn't treat the class like kindergardeners; she's a really cool, friendly person.

Laura Rifkin is a cool intructor but treats her students like kindergardens. Her homework assignments are as easy as high school and it is fun to be in her class. You basically chill with your friends and joke around. We also go on couple of field trips as well. Her exams are common sense but her lectures are quite boring at times but overall this is a stress free class=easy A. tHE only thing i didn't like about this class was the TA who corrects our essays by finding all the flaws of the essay-i mean this is not an english class-c'mon!

Laura is a great teacher, and the class was both fun and an excellent learning experience. I did not expect to get as much from the class as I did; it was an exceptional experience and has changed the way I go about my life (I was a Type A person, now I'm much closer to being a Type B).
The class is taught experientially -- instead of just sitting, taking notes, and regurgitate answers, the class is set up so that you learn by _doing_. This can be a bit difficult for introverted people, but since the environment she develops in the class is one of mutual respect and friendliness, even the most shy people can feel comfortable.
I would highly recommend her class to anyone and everyone, even those who don't need it to graduate.
