just so her students know, professor raquel's real name is Rachel-she is not hispanic, but rather of russian-jewish heritage, which she has come to deny and denounce. just thought people might want to know!

Pinderhughes. What can I say, she's hard core. Each time I spoke in class, my comment did not seem to meet some sort of expectation she had. She definately has her favorite students. No matter how many times I spoke up in class she could never remember my name. She knows her stuff, though. She gave no tests, but instead two big projects- both requiring zip disks, which she did not return (they're like 10-20 bucks!). The projects were interesting, the subject matter was interesting. She assigned an unrealistic amount of reading. At the beginning of the semester she hand out 4 VOLUMES of the course reader, all about 200 pages each. But, if you don't do all the reading the worse that will happen is you'll get drilled in class about it- but as i said earlier, there are no tests.
