Linda Saytes is an easy instructor because she grades on attendance and participation while not offering much homework assignments other than the resume portfolio, business report + group presentation and individual presentation. There are 2 multiple choice exams in the course but you don't have to take the final if you did really well on the Midterm. The textbook with the Instructor's Annotated Edition has answers to the self-check questions which makes the midterm very easy since the test questions come from the self-check questions. Linda offers interesting case studies such as Starbucks and Wal-Mart.
However, she's a disorganized instructor because she doesn't have an agenda to follow upon for each class day which makes it difficult for students to know what's going to be done on that class day. Her syllabus is also disorganized because Linda's syllabus stated that students have to turn in a written evaluation of their own presentation one week after the presentation but she doesn't enforce that at all. Also, her syllabus states that everything is worth 10% of the grade but Linda stated in class that everything is worth 20% of the grade which creates a consistency issue.
The two debates that Linda assigns for the class are terrible because the topics have no substance plus the debates can get really personal especially if you're debating against members of your own group which can create animosity. She should have introduced better topics plus have separate groups debate each other. She tends to show favortism towards her former MKTG students.
Finally, she doesn't even care whether a member of your group is not doing his or her part in the business report. This can be a big problem especially if you have a group member who didn't do the research until the last minute and didn't show up for the meeting which forces everyone else to work harder.
Overall, Linda is one of the easiest Bus 360 instructors to take but the class is a waste of time as a prerequisite for Bus 682 and 690. Take the course in the summer session, if possible, for CR/NC unless you're sure that you're going to get an A or B and that your group members will put their best effort.
