Patricia Schandler

Pat Scandler does talk down to students as if they are the pre-teens she teaches, but if you are there to learn, she delivers. Every computer is occupied with students with a wide range of abilities and comfort with the MAC. She manages to help everyone, give support and feedback, all while dealing calmly with the inevitable computer glitches. Her assignments are relevant and varied. There is opportunity for reviewing the newest classroom software. When she tells you how to set up the required notebook, don't wait...be set by the second class. The whole semester takes place in 5 days. Plan on spending an extra few hours in the ITEC lab before your final project is due if you are not familiar with KidPix Slideshow. The texts are worth their purchase price. Pat has lots of "words of wisdom" that come from years of experience. I thoroughly appreciated her motherly nature...she doesn't caudle you, though!
