Professor Schuster was very easy going, likeable and never wasted time getting the class started. His lectures were concise and to-the-point which meant for effortless notetaking. He gives to mid-term exams and one final comprehensive exam which were not difficult at all. His review sheets for test taking afforded the students more than enough preparation. Overall Professor Schuster made Calculus as painless as possible. I fully recommend him to anyone who believes a large part of your success lies with the instructor.

What they say about this professor is true. No tricks, just straightforward homework assignments, tests and lectures. He's very easy to understand and active teacher. He doesn't just lecture; he makes the class participate and I think thats what makes him an awesome teacher.

His lectures are excellent, that you don't even need to have the textbook to understand the concepts except for the homework of course. A part from that I would recomend him to anyone thinking take calculus courses. Great profesor!!

Professor Schuster is an awesome teacher! His lectures are sooooo clear and concise that it let you pay NO effort to understand everything. Of course, you need to do homework and go to every class--you will definitely enjoy the class. His exams are easy, and he is not a hard grader either. His principle of teaching is to ENCOURAGE students and try to give students the feeling that math is not that horrible. If I had 100 hands on me, I would have 100 thumbs up for professor Schuster! HE IS GREAT!!

Professor Schuster is by far, one of the best math teachers in SFSU. He lectures so clearly & consisely; I learn a lot more from sitting at his lectures than from reading the book! He gives 2 midterms and a non-comprehensive final. Exams are short and mostly based on the homework and are open notes. He made calculus fun and easy to learn. Two thumbs up for Schuster!

Professor Schuster is a great instructor, not like some other instructors who only talk to themselves or talk to the blackboard, he has his own teaching style, which he always encourages students to work on the problems in class, he makes everyone follow what he is talking about, so no body would feel boring in the class. All the students go to his lectures even he doesn't take attendence. If you are late, you can only sit in the far corner of the classroom. I've never seen a class so full after semester started over 1 month. He is also very patient to help students during his office hours, and he is willing to stay as long as possible to answer students' questions. He is really a great instructor, I highly recommend him if you want to take a math class.
